Pre-race routine:

Traditional tri breakfast of two slices of wheat toast, banana, and water (this was intl--so should have eaten more) Needed to sleep more than 5 1/2 hours too.

Do not use brand new goggles...I spent half the swim fixing the goggles and doing breaststroke/dolphin kick to come up for air & do so; my feet were freezing
