Swim
Comments: Very choppy. Tried to swim faster than IMNOLA pace since I knew the distance was shorter...BUT...immediately got seasick. With dizziness and lightheadedness. Suddenly felt like I could not breath and suit too tight. Talked myself out of a possible belief I may drown--weird cuzI love the water!--finally waved to a kayak, held on and waited to calm down. Then moved on. What would you do differently?: Pay more attention to water conditions. It looked more calm than it actually was. I had my scope and earplugs with me which may have helped had I used them. I am a bit concerned if conditions are like this in future tri's Transition 1
What would you do differently?: Watched a youtube video after and realized what a major slowpoke I am. I need to start taking the trasition seriously. I can possibly cut 8-10 min from overall time if I get better at T times. Bike
Comments: After intervals yesterday legs did not want to work--especially with head wind What would you do differently?: Do not do interval bike training even if I am thinking of the event as a training session. Transition 2
Comments: see above T2 comment Run
Comments: Have been working on my form since IMNOLA and landing on my mid to fore foot. I think it is making a difference. Pretty comfortable towards the end. Will need to pick up the pace and keep up interval training. What would you do differently?: push harder. Post race
Warm down: walked around party What limited your ability to perform faster: Hard training before-hand Choppy waters and my seasickness Event comments: Road suck on other side of river. Traffic was not stopped so had to slow down behind a truck once and almost stop at an intersection to allow traffic through Last updated: 2009-04-09 12:00 AM

Woke up at 330 am. With severe epigastic pain that radiated throughout mid back. Thinking it was either a duodenal ulcer or gallbladder related. Cursed at myself for not looking into it in the past. Decided to get up anyway and tried to pass gas (upper and lower) and poop the pain away with no results. The bowl of oatmeal provided some relief. Also had a smoothie with strawberries, banana and protein powder. By the time 415 rolled around pain was gone (likely duodenal ulcer then), ate PBandJ in car on way to New Roads.
Freezing!! Dark, cold and wet. Jumped up and down and did a few strokes in the water to warm myself up worried about my abdomen but felt fine in car.
