First official open water swim. Kicked in the face repeatedly and ended up ripping off my goggles to finish the race.
What would you do differently?:

I would find strap on those goggles like there was no tomorrow.

The hill to the bike course was so steep that there was no way to gain any speed at all...not to mention the people falling down in front of me.

Move faster.

Very hilly with sharp turns. Not able to get into the aero position hardly at all. Road was pretty rough. The dismount was horrible, having to dismount at the top of the hill and running your bike down.

Train more for the hills.
