Pre-race routine:

We went for pasta Thursday and Friday night. My friend loaned his fiance to me for the run as we had been training together. Dinner at Maggiano's was both delicious and had great carbs. That morning I did not eat much before the race but got there early to get set up.
Event warmup:

No running, just stretching and getting my first shot of GU in the system.

Comments:

I felt good and my IT band left me alone. I could have ran a little harder but not a great deal. I felt good and had fun. I GUed at the 5 and 10 miles. Running on the track was awesome, the other runners were great and the crowd and bands made for a nice distraction.
What would you do differently?:

Find my friends so I could run with them.
Post race
Warm down:

I stopped and found my friends, got our food and got our snacking done, did some light stretching.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Nothing, I did ok for myself.

Event comments:

I had a great time for my first mini. The event was well organized and I had fun, I look forward to next year.

My avg HR was 159 so I should have pushed it a little more.
Course: City streets (Closed) and a professional race track, that was cool to run on. Lots of spectators and volunteers. Well done and well marked, just follow the crowd.
