Arrived 6:45; set up transition areal got marked and picked up chip.
Event warmup:

Ran some laps around the parking lot. Had an energy gel at 7:30.

Comments:

The wind and resulting chop made it a hard swim but I do not navigate well on counterclockwise courses. I lost the race here. The ladies before me and after me each swam 3 minutes faster.

It was a good run for me--a shade slower than Athens, but I did lose my way twice so without that it would have been a PB.

Know the course better (which I will now that I have done it once).

Got food; cheered on finishers. Changed into dry clothes.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not practicing swimming in the past month.
