Run
Comments: A lot of people went off fast but slowed down into the run. I started a bit quicker than I feel I can run right now so backed off. After the first mile I started to pick through the people who were slowing after blowing their load early. What would you do differently?: Not much...train more a be faster? Transition 1
Comments: I put myself at the wrong end of the transition (I know for next time) but set up my shoes and helmet in good order. Got strapped in and such pretty quickly, but had a longer than ideal trot out in my shoes. What would you do differently?: Position myself better in transition. Bike
Comments: Went pretty quick throughout. Passed by one, passed many! What would you do differently?: Push a little harder now that I have an idea of course. Transition 2

Post race
Warm down: Walked about, drank water (Bud Light), ate banana. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nothing, felt pretty good. Event comments: Well organized, timely, nice course. I'll do the rest of this series and probably do it many times. Last updated: 2009-04-18 12:00 AM

Got up at 5:15am, had a bowl of porridge with milk, honey and some GoLean Crunch. Washed it down with a big glass of water.
Ran the first 1/2 mile of the run course out and back. Some basic stretching.
