Pre-race routine:

This was horrible! I was running late and just had time to eat my PB and J and gulp down a little gatorade. I was scrammbling to get my transition are set...it was NOT good!
Event warmup:

Biked from my car to the transition area and short swim to get us to the water.

OK...so my guess is that this course was laid out wrong..my time leads me to beleive that instead of .9 miles this course was 900 yards...which really sucks! It means my frist oly wasn't really a true one...I had a great swim anyway!
What would you do differently?:

Nothing! I can no beleive how far I have come in my swimming! Last year I felt like I was dying in my first open water and this year it was easy - no freaking out just getting into rythym and getting it done!

The transition was a little long since it was the first time I had used my wetsuit in a while I get a little caught up but it gave me a few minutes to also get focused for the bike.
What would you do differently?:

PAM or something to make my wetsuit easier to get off...not forget to put my sunglasses with my bike helmet!

I beleive that my back tire may have been a little low on air...aside from that I was very happy with my ride! I beleive it is a PR for the 25 miles!

This was a good transition. I opted not to but my socks on which was a mistake...I also forgot to grab my gel.

Run was pretty good. Due to a lack of training on this segement my plan had been to run 10 min walk 1 but I wasn't aware of how many hills there were so I ended up walking up all the hills and the water stations. It seemed to work out pretty well!
What would you do differently?:

Wear socks...I have blisters and they hurt! Train more on the run

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I did not make the best choices leading up to this race. I came to Lake Geneva the night before to join my parents and they invited me to go out. Which I did - no drinking but we ended up being out until 12:30...then I decided not to get up until 5:15 this made me very disorganized. Because I was running late I couldn't find parking and then had to hurry. I didn't have time to check my tire pressure and then I didn't have enough time to get my transition area set-up. This meant that I had a slightly flat back tire, forgot my sunglasses, didn't lay out my gel, and just felt disorganized. Next time no going out the night before and leave earlier for the tranistion area.

I was very happy with my race overall and I officially have my first OLY under my belt!
