Pre-race routine:

NOTHING WAS DONE. I ATE A HAM AND CHEESE SANDWHICH WITH MUSTARD ABOUT AN 1.5 HOURS B4 RACE TIME.
Event warmup:

STRETCHED OUT A LITTLE BIT.
Swim
  • 46m 51s
  • 1640 yards
  • 02m 52s / 100 yards
What would you do differently?:

NEED TO GET USED TO LARGER WAKES CONSISTENTLY COMING OVER MY BODY/HEAD. I FELT PRETTY WINDED BY HALF WAY. NOT SURE IF IT WAS DUE TO CURRENT OR LACK OF SWIM EFFICIENCY.
Transition 1
  • 05m 8s
Comments:

I TOOK MY TIME IN THE TRANSITION LEARNING FROM THE LAST RACE. TAKING MY ALLOWED ME TO COLLECT MY THOUGHTS AND ESTABLISH A BETTER BREATHING PATTERN FOR GETTING ON THE BIKE.
What would you do differently?:

I NEED TO DO THE ABOVE IN A FAST MANNER. OVERALL, I WAS HAPPY WITH IT.
Bike
  • 1h 16m 6s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 19.59 mile/hr
Comments:

I FELT PRETTY GOOD ON THE BIKE. I SHIFTED UPWARDS WHICH I HADN'T DONE IN TRAINING DUE TO NOT HAVING STRAIGHT AWAY'S THAT WERE CLEARED LIKE THIS.
What would you do differently?:

I WOULD HAVE UP SHIFTED EARLIER IN THE RACE. NEED TO MOVE MY BIKE SEAT FORWARD AND HIGHER.
Transition 2
  • 03m 55s
Comments:

IT WENT PRETTY SMOOTH. AGAIN, I TOOK EXTRA TIME TO CATCH MY BREATH. IN THE LAST RACE, I WOUND UP CRAMPING. I DIDN'T THIS TIME AND FELT GOOD.
What would you do differently?:

NOTHING
Run
  • 55m 1s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 08m 52s  min/mile
Post race
Warm down:

WALKED AROUND FOR 5 MINUTES.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

NOTHING, I WAS BECOMING GASED TOWARDS THE LAST MILE.

Event comments:

A SIDE FROM THE SWIM, IT WAS A FUN RACE.
