Swim
Comments: Should have practiced a little with the wet suit but wasnt sure the water temp was going to allow for them. It was a little warm with it on but it definitely helps with the floating. What would you do differently?: Push myself a little more in the beginning lap just because I know I can swim faster. Transition 1
Comments: Transition area was tight had to take off shoes and put back on due to sock getting screwed up. Need to practice getting dressed. Almost forgot hr monitor. What would you do differently?: Practice getting dressed or swim with shirt on would be better. Bike
Comments: Crazy winds killed me at times but everbody had to deal with it need to practice some hills just not this crazy flat land, that would have helped with the headwinds. What would you do differently?: Learned how to take water and not have taken an endurance upset GI and dry heaved for awhile. Transition 2
Comments: I will switch to just a tri shirt for now on for short races wasted time on changing again. Plus stupid spectator in my way when I was trying to rack my bike he must have done the short course and couldnt figure out I was coming right at him. What would you do differently?: Not much just shirt. Run
Comments: Felt good coming off the bike, started out fast make myself slow down due to nervous about previous calf injury. Felt good on the finish. What would you do differently?: Race belt and tri shirt no more changing of shirts. Post race
Warm down: Walked around stretched out and jumped in the lake to rinse off. What limited your ability to perform faster: Nervous about calf injury and winds. Overall felt very prepared better then most. Oh yeah and the dry heaves that did go away. Event comments: Not enough prerace stuff smaller races cater a little more to the runner. Pre race meals and post race meals. Pizza and chips what the heck that is not what I wanted to eat. Last updated: 2009-04-23 12:00 AM

Drove the course the day before. Found out where the wind was going to kill us and where the tail wind was going to help. Crosswinds were brutal too on the open roads.
Light jog in the park easy stretch and light swim in the lake before the start. Kept getting yelled at by the Lifeguards to get behind the markers.
