Swim
Comments: Should have upped my time to a better one. Caught multiple people, got bunched up on a couple of turn walls, couldn't flip turn a few times. Own fault. What would you do differently?: Make an accurate prediction of my swim time next year. Transition 1
Comments: Ran back to 'clean off' pool, shoudn't have, wasted some time. Small problem getting jersey set. Will need to look into ways to get that right next time with a wet body. May end up getting a swimming jersey and wear the same for the whole race. What would you do differently?: See above Bike
Comments: Need to watch what I eat on the morning of the race. The 'breakfast' I ate didn't cut it and could taste/feel it through the bike. Had a gel early on in the ride. What would you do differently?: Next time pack one bottle with water and one with a mix, instead of two mixed bottles. Need to decide if aero bars are worth it, also need to think about a triathlon specific hydration system (most would require aerobars) Transition 2
Comments: Not a bad T2. Improved from SML, didn't have to sit down to do anything. Had to run back about 5 yards, forgot number belt! What would you do differently?: Place number belt in more prominent position. Run
Comments: Best run ever in a race, or otherwise. Need to check final official results, but by watch I had me at 26:26, which unless you go back to my freshman year at Drexel, my best 5-k time was 29:10. An improvement of close to 10%, amazing. Post race
Warm down: Walked a good bit, had some water and gatorade, no food. Had breakfast out about 30-45 minutes after the race. Only needed light stretching, feel pretty good day after.
