Pre-race routine:

Did not get a lot of sleep (1st mistake). Woke up at 5:30, showered and dressed. Make a smoothie - Banana, strawberries, blueberries & protein powder. Light strech and packed the car. Got to the event at 7:00.
Event warmup:

Set up transition area. Eat gel pack about 8:00. Walked over to the pool and did my pre-game stretches.

Felt good. I am use to 25m pools had to get use to the extra length.
What would you do differently?:

See if there are more 50m pools to practice in or even open swims or endless pools.
