What would you do differently?: Train a little more. Actually I should train period. This is my 3rd sprint and I haven't really trained for any of the 3. I am going to get serious about my training as I really enjoy pushing myself to the limits. Transition 1
Comments: The run from the beach was a bear. I had a lot of trouble getting my wetsuit off. I haven't had that problem in the past. I think I pushed myself on the swim too much (for me) and got pretty tired. Bike
What would you do differently?: I need to train. I love Tri's and want to become more competitive. I just need to get in race shape. Transition 2
Comments: I smoked the T2. I think I had one of the quickest times for my age group. Now granted I don't ride in cleats so I didn't have to change into my running shoes. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
Comments: Ugly run course. What would you do differently?: Train. Post race
Warm down: Water, gatorade, food. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training. I need to find someone to train with wether it be an individual or a club. Event comments: The walk from the parking lot was way too long. All in all, it was a pretty good event. Does anyone have any suggestions on a tri club or training. I live in Arlington Heights. I drank water and gatorade and had the usual power bar.
Nothing much really. I just made sure I was mentally prepaired for all transitions and made sure I had my gear set out appropriately.
