Comments: The swim was rougher than I thought. I got my goggles kicked off 2 times and could not find my own space for most of teh swim. In the end I was very happy with my time. Way faster than I thought it would be. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 1
Comments: Long run uphill to T1 from swim. Tried to take it easy and catch my breath from the swim!! What would you do differently?: Nothing Bike
Comments: I rode very well. Had a little struggle on the hills but I am still 10-15lbs over my usual early season weight. Rode a steady pace and was very happy with my time. What would you do differently?: nothing Transition 2
Comments: Great T2! In and out fast Run
Comments: my feet were frozen and numb for the first mile or so. I tried to take it easy on the uphill early and pace myself to run a negative split. Ran a great run. Finished strong by catching 3 peaple who passed me early on the run and held off one of my rivals to beat him by 34 seconds What would you do differently?: nothing Post race
Warm down: stretch, eat pizza and drink lots of water. Sit around and watch and cheer other finishers What limited your ability to perform faster: Really bad off season where I did not train due to knee problems and gained way too much weight. Knee surgery 12 weeks ago. Event comments: Great race and a great race venue. I will do the same course again in July at Disco Man!!! Last updated: 2009-04-28 12:00 AM
