Swim
Comments: I was lucky on this one. Trained with a Tri-101 group and we were able to start first. I was third in the water and fourth out. We started 5 seconds apart from one another. What would you do differently?: Make sure my goggles were sealed up good. My left goggle was on my swim cap and thus it slowly filled with water as the laps progressed. By end of race I was swimming with one eye shut. Transition 1
Comments: My T1 was truly flawless for me. I passed one guy running in and there were only two more guys in front of me in transition. I was out 15-20 seconds before they were. I just wore my 2XU tri suit the whole time. All I had to do in transition was put on my socks and bike shoes, throw on my helmet and glasses...and I'm off! What would you do differently?: I will get some triathlon bike shoes that I can wear sockless. This will save me at least another 10-20 seconds. Bike
Comments: Good bike ride for me. Felt strong! What would you do differently?: Nothing really for this ride. May have drank a little more. Transition 2
Comments: This transition was tough for me. As soon as I hit the pavement running with my bike, I felt the throw up coming on. One of my shoes drug the ground and came out of the clip as I ran. Lucky for me some spotter grabbed it and handed it to me in transition. As soon as I racked the bike, I threw up. I had to st there for about 30 seconds to get me head back on straight and calm down. Then...off to the run! What would you do differently?: Try and figure out what made me ill. Not sure but I will try and figure it out. Run
Comments: Horrible run for me. Never really got my mind back after loosing it in T2. Just before the finish line, had to stop and throw up more. Lost about 30-40 seconds with that junk! Besides that, I need to train more on my running. What would you do differently?: Train, train, train on my run! Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: The sick stomach and poor running preparation! Event comments: Love Dallas Athletes but they should step it up on their race production. Some of the timers were off and thus the results are still in question. They have addressed the issues and I look forward to a great next race from them. Last updated: 2009-04-28 12:00 AM

Trained swims with tri-101 group on Wednesday nights. Trained bike with group on Wednesday nights before swims, 25 mile ride. Running was occasional at best and it showed during tri!
Swam a few laps before tri began.
