Pre-race routine:

Two cups of coffee, shower, then did a slim fast, then an GU gel 15 minutes prior to start. Also was sipping Accelerade.

Would actually push just a bit more if I could, and attack at opportune times. Could have been top ten easy (less than 10 seconds seperate me and several spots)

Pushed as hard as I could with dying, literally. Achieved goal of ascending split.

Not much actually. Until I learn to just run faster, this is a top performance. Best ever actually!

Course: Climb (gentle) for 7 miles, then drop back down. Wind was not horrible factor. Very fun, fast course.
