Pre-race routine:

get up drive from campsite with the kids, stomach was unsettled already, couldn't choke down a half a bagel, drank some HEED, and had a banana. Big mistake drank a starbucks frappacino about 25 minutes before the start with the quesy stomach....
Event warmup:

5-10 minutes of dynamic stretching and jogging back to the car to get my goggles... :)

Pool swim - I like the no nav part but the seeding could be better. I fat fingered my split to go earlier and was 30 seconds slower than my predicted and lapped everyone twice except one guy who I lapped once.

T1 is getting better. Shoes stayed on the pedals, I just need to relax about getting the feet in the shoes to fast. The bike start was up a hill so I just slowly put my feet in and pedaled harder then coasted. Much better

Feet got stuck going in the flats. insole got winkled up on one foot. it figured itself after a mile

figure out a way to stick my insole to the bottom of my shoe.

Felt incredible coming off the bike - Ran out of juice on the rollers and legs felt heavy but overall felt strong thru out the run

This was a race that I hadn't taken off too much before
