Pre-race routine:

Drove over night before to get my packet. Eat a Banana and drank a 1/2 gatorade. Drove to site, set up site, walked around with my son looking at the exhibits. Took a drink of some drink they were pedalling, not sure what it was.
Event warmup:

Walked mostly. Stretched a little, stood around waiting on the other 4 waves to go first.
Swim
  • 08m 28s
  • 440 yards
  • 01m 55s / 100 yards
Comments:

Not overly nervous, but felt alone even though there were lots of people around.
What would you do differently?:

Try to orient myself, and find someone to connect with, so I can not feel so lonely.
Transition 1
  • 03m 3s
Comments:

Did not put on heart monitor or socks and cut time from 1st tri.
What would you do differently?:

Run a little more, not stop to drink get some from bike once I get started.
Bike
  • 36m 47s
  • 8 miles
  • 13.05 mile/hr
Comments:

Using an Autobike makes it hard to ride hills. My first water bottle ejected within the first 1/4 of the race. I ended up walking bike up the last hill because I had no momentum and decided I could run up faster then I could bike. The problem was once I tried to get back on the bike, I had no legs left and was ready to quit.
What would you do differently?:

Ride harder, figure out how to use momentum, keep bottles from ejecting on bumps.
Transition 2
  • 01m 44s
Comments:

Took time to drink. Bikes near me were racked backwards, so it thru me off. Was feeling ok, but not ready to run. Slower then last time.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure,
Run
  • 40m 1s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 12m 52s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt weak, not enough food. Jogged beginning to make it feel better. Did a jog 2 light poles and then 1 one each time.
What would you do differently?:

Run more walk less.
Post race
Warm down:

Walked around and got a nice massage after race. Did some stretching. Eat water melon, drank lots of gatorade.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Equipment, non-motivated training, trouble sleeping.

Event comments:

Not huge crowd. Not lots of activities afterward and took over hour before the awards were presented. Everyone was getting tired and bored before awards started. Crowd thinned quickly as each award was given.
