Swim
Comments: felt good tried to grab some feet but everyone that i tried to get on I kept hitting them in the feets. so had to pass them and swim on my own What would you do differently?: start off in front front of group. i was about 3 deep instead of right at the front and knocking the little guys out of the way. Transition 1
Comments: long run to bike around 200 meters sand beach and parking lot run. had a little difficulty with sunglasses 10th overall time and 2nd in age group What would you do differently?: figure out what to do with my glasses - and need to get Tri Shoes and my own aero helmet Bike
Comments: passes age group leader on the way back in to t2 and kept him off for about the last 3 miles. unfortunately he was only 200 meters behind me. What would you do differently?: hold a little to hit it hard on way back in. Transition 2
Comments: tied with 2 other people for fastest T2 in the race... If I knew where I was going i could have maybe done 15 seconds... and had the fastest T2... dang it. What would you do differently?: know where I was supposed to go to run exit Run
Comments: The now 2nd place 25-29 age group passed me within about 1/3 of a mile in to the race. and the guy who ended up in 2nd passed me with about 1/2 to 2/3 of a mile left. I tried keeping up with him but he was pretty quick running a 6:56 pace finished off hard and stong... felt good on the sprint in 1st place age group was 30 seconds ahead of me 2nd place age group was 7 seconds ahead of me getting closer... What would you do differently?: shoes... but they did help have a fast T2 Post race
Warm down: drank lots of water dumped on body stood in shade. stretched and held legs up above heart to try to recycle blood quicker. What limited your ability to perform faster: not too much went hard the whole time... If it had been cooler out side I might have been able to run faster. Event comments: THought that this was a good race and put on well. Last updated: 2009-05-03 12:00 AM
