Didn't get a rhythm until about 1/4 of the way through

I was in no rush, just wanted to regain my balance and make sure i wasn't wasting too much time

I felt like i was going too easy on the first half, but i am glad that i saved my legs the closer i got to the end. My lower back was killing me the whole ride, not enough training in the aero position i guess

More aero position during training, maybe a better bike fit

Nothing outstanding, but i got a drink and some electrolyte tabs and again tried not to waste too much time

I had an awful cramp from mile 6 through 10. After it subsided, i got back into rhythm, but those 4 miles were painful with some walking on the steeper uphills

Warm down:

Some stretching, a brutal walk/hike to get all of the gear back to my car, then a massage. More stretching while eating and drinking the whole time.

Event comments:

I loved this race, even more so after learning first hand how truly painful it is. My first Wildflower has come and gone, but I'll be back next year.
