![]() Run
Comments: Decided earlier in the week that I wasn't going to use my watch or garmin and just run by feel. This was more of a training run to see how I'd do for my HIM coming up. Right before the race started we heard thunder and once I finally passed the timing mat it started to pour. This continued off and on the whole time. I have never run in this kind of weather. The first couple of miles were down hill which meant on the way back it would be up hill. Overall I took it somewhat easy and felt pretty good most of the time. The hills toward the end started to take it out of me a bit. The ride home was a little painful my piriformis muscle started to really bother me. What would you do differently?: Push it harder, I know I had it in me to push it more but wanted to see how I'd be running my half for my HIM coming up. Need to work my piriformis muscle more. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Walked around trying to find where to get my race jacket since they give them to you afterwards. Once I got that I got in my car. What limited your ability to perform faster: Not pushing myself harder, treated it like a training run. Event comments: Good race had plenty of volunteers. The post race couldn't tell you much about since I was wet and just wanted to get out of there. Last updated: 2009-05-06 12:00 AM
