Nice swim area. Started/finish on beach and flat open water, no waves.

Learn to swim straight, I felt like i was all over the place.

There was a decline at 45 mph, which is the fastest I have gone on current bike. It was a thrill but a little scary since I didn't have bike checked out this year!
What would you do differently?:

Train harder. This was the farthest distance for a sprint I did so far.

Tried new Yankz shoelaces and thought they were great! Highly recomended. Wasted time getting a dose of Advil.

Take the Advil on the last mile or two of bike.

I was unhappy with my run. I did have knee surgery in January but knee actually felt good here so I have no excuse.

Really need to work on my running

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I'm not sure if I'm just a really slow runner or if I'm fatigued by the run portion. It's no fun seeing people with 70+ on their calf pass me on the run.

Event comments:

Excellent after festivities and food, although I'm not much for hanging out afterwards. DJ throughout entire event. Massages available. I thought the course was harder than advertised but loved the challange. I would definetly do this event next year.
