Post race
Warm down: Hung out and waited for Mom. She finished at 1.02 for a second in the 50+AG. She is 70! She got a medal. :-) I rode my bike home 8mi and it was tough. I ate a few oranges in between but I was on the verge of a bonk. What limited your ability to perform faster: I'd like to do more trail running. I don't run many hills and I think it would make me much stronger. It might be a good idea to refrain from a really hot (and hard) bike ride the evening before. Event comments: I hope they continue this race. It was a fun event, they did an excellent job of organizing and had a ton of volunteers. Last updated: 2009-05-08 12:00 AM

Got up and ate a bagel. Mom came to the house and we got in my car. I had already loaded my bike for the ride home.
Walked back and forth to the car about 3 times. I kept forgetting stuff. I took some endurolites before breakfast then another at about 7:30. I really didn't want to dehydrate. I had a really hot bike ride the night before and was little afraid I was already a bit deficient.
