Pre-race routine:

Got to sleep at about 10:00 PM, but did not sleep well at hotel in Wolfbourough, due to room temperature being unbelievably hot. Hotel was undergoing renovations, so there was some problem with the AC, which made sleep very uncomfortable. Had a great dinner with spouse at Garwood's - would highly recommend this place to anyone. Great atmosphere, good good, and great lake views. Breadfast at Mickey D's on way to pick up race packet around 7:00 am.
Event warmup:

Nothing special, normal stretching.
Run
  • 1h 57m 20s

Comments:

Paired up with Kristin (former Boston training partner) and her husband Dylan who was running his first half marathon. She kept us on pace for a target of below 2 hours! Good conversation along the way the whole run! I was very comfortable on the run for the most part.
What would you do differently?:

Nothing. Run was good.
Post race
Warm down:

Normal stretching.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

I met my goal.

Event comments:

This is the second time I have run this race. It is well organized and the course and runners are great. I would do this again next year!
