Comments: Besides swimming an extra 50yards, the fast lane was in Lane 6 and was very choppy. Swam with two other swimmers What would you do differently?: Next time I'll just wait till my scheduled time, rather than trying to rush. Transition 1
Comments: Long transition from the pool to the bike. Ran barefoot. Bike
Comments: The wind just sucked or maybe it just blew. It was coming out of the South, and would not let up. I still felt like I had a good bike split, even with the wind. What would you do differently?: Take the last mile to sit up and take deep breaths. Transition 2
Run
Comments: It hurt to breathe. I couldn't get a deep breath, so I just had to take shallow breaths. My legs felt great, I should have been able to run this in 23:00. What would you do differently?: Ride the last mile on the bike out of the aero position and take deep breaths. Post race
Event comments: I was expecting to rock this race. I felt like I have done the training. I'm happy about my bike split considering the wind. Just disappointing in losing count in the pool and forgetting to breathe deep on the last mile of the bike. My conditioning felt good, I guess I should have been more focused. No warmup, decided to slip into the fast lane to go off sooner than scheduled.
