Comments: Good swim, considering I hadn't been in the water since June! Took it easy, never pushed myself. Was afraid to over-do it, since I hadn't swam in a while. What would you do differently?: Actually train some. Transition 1
Comments: Had about a 600 yd. run from the lake to the transition are, that's part of the reason it takes sooo long. What would you do differently?: nothing Bike
Comments: My biking is absolutely pathetic. Unfortunately, I only get out on the road maybe once per week, the rest of the training is done inside, and my performance shows. I knew going into the season that the bike was by far my weakest discipline and today shows it. Until I can get some good road miles and/or more training in, I'm doomed on the bike. What would you do differently?: TRAIN MORE Transition 2
Run
Comments: Decent run, although still having to stop and walk 4 times. Didn't walk the until about 2 miles in. My run was ok, not great, just ok. What would you do differently?: Need more miles, haven't been getting them in this summer. Post race
Warm down: Went to food tent for water and watermelon. Talked to a couple of friends who also did the race. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of training, especially on the bike.
