Swim
Comments: Good swim. Start was a little haphazard, so I wasn't 100% ready to start. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Swim training is working Transition 1
Comments: Still slow compared to others, but improved from Woodlands Tri. Need to go without shirt if the conditions allow. New shoes might help by eliminating the need for socks. What would you do differently?: Spend one less minute in T1 Bike
Comments: Hills were hard, but training rides got us ready for them. I overheard a lady in the transition area saying to someone, "just have fun and stop worrying about the hills". This is the best way to approach this course. Great ride. What would you do differently?: Be faster! Transition 2
Comments: Still slow..need to consider running without knee braces. What would you do differently?: See T1 comment Run
Comments: Slow What would you do differently?: Train more to be able to run faster...this continues to frustrate me. Will focus on run for Austin Tri in September Post race
Warm down: Drank a bottle of water What limited your ability to perform faster: No energy on the run. Event comments: Nice race with a great bike course. I thought it looked a little understaffed when I showed up, but everything went smoothly. Great event! Last updated: 2009-05-14 12:00 AM

Woke up at 4:30am, ate cliff bar and drank oj. Walked to the transition area from the Hampton Inn at 5:30am. Hung out until start.
A short swim doing breaststroke and freestyle.
