Swim
Comments: Well, I felt like I was going fast? What would you do differently?: perhaps swim more long sets in training at race pace Transition 1
Comments: Getting faster at this at least What would you do differently?: I was happy with it Bike
Comments: I don't know what the deal has been with the cycling lately. Just had no top end today. Ride felt comfortable, but I could not push it. Maybe 3MM from last weekend was still in legs? What would you do differently?: Need more Olympic specific training Transition 2
Comments: Felt pretty good except getting shoes laced up. Ran out with hat, glasses, number in hand What would you do differently?: Try some speed lacing system Run
Comments: Felt pretty good, though a little light headed (perhaps from Infinit caffeine?). Felt pretty comfortable and did not seem to be working too hard. I was joking with MLK out on course and even stopped to pose for picture. What would you do differently?: I probably could push it a bit harder, but this was good for today Post race
Warm down: Walked around and ate some spaghetti What limited your ability to perform faster: Cycling was weak today Event comments: Set-up always does a great job. This was my first Try development series race and it was as well done as the NCTS race, though less crowded. There was still ample competition at the front of the field as my percentile rank shows! Only slept about two hours the night before. Not sure what my deal is lately on that. Went to dinner at Brooke & Nicolais place and had some awesome salmon and beet dish with a few glasses of wine.
Got out of bed at 4:45. had usual oatmeal and some tea. MLK met me downstairs at 5:45 and we were on our way.
Easy jog while MLK waited in portojohn lines. Did some easy swimming while waiting for start
