Run
Comments: Rolling hills, light rain. Ran OK could have gone faster, but was hesitant to push as this was supposed to be a fun run. Yea right. What would you do differently?: Run faster Transition 1
Comments: Guessing at the time, but it was fast and pretty easy. Everything was wet! What would you do differently?: Not much Bike
Comments: I have done this course before so I knew what to expect and pushed as hard as I could. There a few very long 1/2 mile or longer hills that can really tire you out, I worked on these more this time around. At one point the wind really kicked up and the rain just pelted us, it was an adventure. What would you do differently?: Not much... Work harder, train more. Transition 2
Comments: Fast and easy. What would you do differently?: Not much. Run
Comments: It rained sooo hard, it was almost comical. It did feel good, as it was warm out and I was pretty hot at this point. Squish, squish went the running shoes! What would you do differently?: Maybe would have had a better time without the storm overhead, but would have missed out on all the fun! Post race
Warm down: Walked around a bit, ate some cookies and watermelon. What limited your ability to perform faster: The weather perhaps. Event comments: Gulf Coast Runners always put on a great event. I like my little trophey! I will definatly do the 3rd race in the series! I was very surprised at how many crazy people came out on this horrible weather day, but that's a big part of what made it fun! Last updated: 2009-05-19 12:00 AM

Had everything packed up the night before, except the bike. Got up at 4:45AM, had a regular breakfast, ww waffles, yogurt and tea. Drove the hour to the site, in the rain, got there and hour early and set up transition, put my stuff in plastic bags, to try and keep it dry.
Did just under a mile easy jog.
