Swim
  • 10m 57s
  • 528 yards
  • 02m 04s / 100 yards
Comments:

Very crowded swim. Had a hard time finding clean water. Felt very good coming out of the water.
What would you do differently?:

Maybe swim further outside. I hugged the bouys all the way through.
Transition 1
  • 00m 37s
Comments:

First try doing hope on method. worked out perfect.
What would you do differently?:

Had to stop to put on helmet. should have been first thing. Take inside route to bike. May have cost a couple seconds. 16th overall cant beat myself up to much there.
Bike
  • 46m 37s
  • 15 miles
  • 19.31 mile/hr
Comments:

Felt really good on the way out. stayed at 21 -22. Ran out of gas towards the end. Had to push to stay 19+. Headwind slowed me some. Legs slowed me down more. Stayed aero for 90% of ride. Ate a Gu around mile 10.
What would you do differently?:

Just need to keep getting time in the saddle, Riding is improving
Transition 2
  • 00m 49s
Comments:

Transiton felt good but lost time somewhere. was 92 overall.
What would you do differently?:

Not sure, maybe run a little faster in and out. Everything felt pretty smooth. Shoes and belt on no problem. Remember to rack bike by handle and not seat in T2 but I dont think that cost me much.
Run
  • 28m 40s
  • 3.3 miles
  • 08m 41s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt pretty good on the run kept nice even pace. Was happy with it for first race back after broken foot. Picked it up good in the middle. Blister on left medial heal.
What would you do differently?:

Body Glide did not help the feet. Ill try vasoline on this weeks runs. Overall felt very good about my run. Ill get faster as season rolls on.
Post race
Warm down:

Food and water, hung with friends

What limited your ability to perform faster:

First race back from fracture so I felt I gave it all I had today.

Event comments:

Great race would do it again and again. Would like to spend some time in Melborne, seems like a nice little beach town.
