Comments: Actually, this is a kayak paddle for 2m and it was the second event. I was 3 weeks before surgery on my left shoulder (SLAP tear) so performance was hampered. Was much tougher than I thought and in my own defense I hadn't practiced in a kayak. Only through weight training. What would you do differently?: Practice more, go on healthy shoulder Transition 1

Comments: Borrowed an off-road bike for this that was in horrific condition. Kept a good pace, but gears were awful. What would you do differently?: Will get my own bicycle for the next one Transition 2
Comments: Transition between kayak and bike. Carried kayak (with help from staff - allowed in this triathlon) back to transition, ran to get bike, put shoes, helmet on and took off. Good transition. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Run
