Swim
  • 09m 47s
  • 600 yards
  • 01m 38s / 100 yards
Comments:

this is longer than the 500yds showing - always has been - fun swim course - houses in the subdivision line the water and peepz sit out on their deck to watch and yell
What would you do differently?:

nothing - just try to swim faster!
Transition 1
  • 02m 16s
Comments:

using my transition pedals for this race - was able to get into them rather quickly - did betta than i anticipated since i haven't used them but two or three times
What would you do differently?:

train more for the next race if using the quick change
Bike
  • 26m 15s
  • 10 miles
  • 22.86 mile/hr
Comments:

felt like i went as hard as i could for the amount of training time that i was able to put in prior to the race
What would you do differently?:

train harder - longer
Transition 2
  • 00m 45s
Comments:

this transition didn't go quite as smooth as the majority of my t2 go - but that was due to my being extremely stupid & ignorant - long but short story that i won't post
What would you do differently?:

correct all that i didn't go correct
Run
  • 24m 15s
  • 3.1 miles
  • 07m 49s  min/mile
Comments:

really had a good run - no side stitch - ran pretty even splits - was quite pleased!
What would you do differently?:

train harder - longer
Post race
Warm down:

just walkin' around - did a short little run to the car & back

What limited your ability to perform faster:

training

Event comments:

this is an old long standing grass roots sprint that needs to keep its status - is always well run - has a real spectator friendly feel - parents, kidz, all of the family type of involvment - wide open transition area that is not congested w/allowing everyone to have access - there are no issues w/that - "kim" the race director for many years is one that gives a lot of personality to it - quite structured and has the support of the local "Y" - just a lot of fun for everyone involved!
