Comments:

first race of any kind in a year after six months of physical therapy for plantar fasciitis on both feet. Took it out way too fast, first mile was 6:03. I pretty much blew up after that. I had nothing for the return. Only been back running on the road for the last 4 weeks and not any long runs, so my endurance is non-existent. Clearly, have a long way to go. But very happy to be running at all.
What would you do differently?:

Oh, I don't know, maybe take it out easier? Finish strong instead of with my tongue hanging out.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Only four weeks backs out on the road. Not enough mileage. But after injury gotta ease back into things gradually.

Event comments:

First year for the event. Race organized to honor the memory of Jeremy Glass, a young man who tragically lost his battle with drug addiction. My heart goes out to all his family and friends.
