Pre-race routine:

Ate a toast and 2 eggs for breakfast. Got ready and headed off to the event side around 8:15'ish. Was a bit early for 25 mile registration. So hung out in the parking lot for a while.
Event warmup:

Light stretching. Rode around the parking lot a couple of time.

Comments:

I had seriously forgotten how far 25 miles was. My thighs were killing me by the end of the ride. I thought I was ready and trained enough for the ride. But I guess not. I did to ride my brand new bike, which was pretty cool. This was my very first ride with drop bars. Pretty cool. Just need to practice more being comfortable getting on and off the bike. Also hopefully, eventually I will have enough guts to use my road clip in shoes.
What would you do differently?:

Have guts to use the road clip in shoes. And of course practice, practice, practice.
Post race
Warm down:

Stretched a little bit. Got a little 10 minute massage. Ate like a pig - hot dog and a cheeseburger.

Event comments:

This was not a race. Just a fun ride. And the CT MS Society did a great job organizing the event.
