Event warmup:

ran for 10 minutes
Run
  • 12m 40s
  • 2 miles
  • 06m 20s  min/mile
Comments:

ran hard enough to feel just a little uncomfortable but not too hard, just tried to stay in a zone. No mile markers on course so I had no idea about my speed, I hit my watch as I entered Transistion and it read 12:40, I think the race spotter had me a 13:02, either way it was about what I wanted to do.
What would you do differently?:

nothing right on pace.
Transition 1
  • 00m 54s
Comments:

The race had me at :32 but I think they included some of it on with my run time, because there is no way I got to my bike, changed shoes, and ran my bike to the dismount line in 32 seconds, but I did have a good transistion.
What would you do differently?:

Work on getting bike shoes on quicker
Bike
  • 44m 1s
  • 16.23 miles
  • 22.12 mile/hr
Comments:

I rode well on the straights I was always between 23.5-25 mph, there were several turns that keep slowing me down. the last 5 miles I seemed to slow a bit, I was always around 21-22 Mph. Overall a good bike, I could have shaved maybe another minute off, but I think my run would have suffered. I keep my HR just below Threshold for the ride
What would you do differently?:

nothing, maybe do a few more surges and get a little more out of my comfort zone
Transition 2
  • 00m 45s
Comments:

once again they had me a :20 there is no way I was that fast I don't think I could have ran with the bike racked it, and ran back to the run start that fast, let alone change shoes, I think some of this time was added to the bike time, but I did have a good t2
What would you do differently?:

nothing
Run
  • 13m 49s

Comments:

What would you do differently?:

nothing
Post race
Warm down:

walked around

What limited your ability to perform faster:

nothing it was a good day.

Event comments:

It was a nice race for a first time event, they only had water at transition entrance and exit and I had to grab the cup myself off the table and the glasses were only 6oz. In a short event like this it didn't matter to me much because I had drinks on the bike, but if I was out there over 1:30 I would have liked to had more options for fluids.
