Run
Comments: I started the run with a nice easy pace about a 9:40 mile.At mile 14 there was a nice little hill 300 ft up and 500 ft long at least thats what it felt like just a grunt to get to the top.I went back to my pace after that until mile 16 something when my body (mostly my legs)started to hurt I walked for a minute hoping that would help,it did for awhile.I could only go for a mile then I would have to walk again.By mile 21 I was realy sick to my stomach and was reduced to just walking fast. every time I tried to run it out I would almost lose it so I just kept walking. At mile 25.5 I hade a huge burp come out and I felt alot better I was then able to run to the finish smiling, no realy I was smiling ear to ear because I could not believe I made it without dying. What would you do differently?: Maybe more TRAINING Post race
Warm down: Drank some water and sat on the curb and stetched my legs out. I'm very happy that they were only a little tired it just goes to show ya a good base is all you need to keep from being crippled after a marathon. What limited your ability to perform faster: Major lack of training. Event comments: I realy liked this race the course is very scenic and flat with only 1 hillI will do this again maybe even train for it next time. Last updated: 2009-05-22 12:00 AM
