Swim
Comments: I HATE HOT WATER SWIMS YUCK YUCK YUCK!!! What would you do differently?: Spend more time swimming in a cannibal's cooking pot Transition 1
Comments: Good transition. There was a short grassy hill to run up to get to the mount line, and a short section of gravel road that lead out onto the road I forgot to hit my lap button Bike
Comments: I had a very good ride. I really wanted to break 22mph, but it was not to be. What would you do differently?: Go a bit faster (maybe I need a new bike) Transition 2
Comments: I forgot to hit my lap button Run
Comments: I really liked the XC aspect of the course. I thought it made the race much more interesting and allowed the spectators to see the racres several times. Plus It had a much smaller impact on the community. What would you do differently?: run faster Post race

had a bit of breakfast at 5:00 and drove to the site. I was dreading the fog and the fact that I knew that the water was going to be 85 degrees. I had hoped that the big thunderstorm we had had at my hotel in Orange might have dumped a little cooler water in the lake, but alas it was not to be.
Got marked and chipped and went for a short swim warm-up. The water was hot hot hot, and very dark and cloudy. additionally, the pea soup fog made the bouys very difficult to spot.
