cliff bar and snickers engergy bar. Going to Destin right after race.
Event warmup:

about 7 minutes of jogging with some pick ups...... Rained the pretty heavily the whole race....

went out probably a little too hard. 1st mile 06:30...2nd 7:30....tried slowing it down and also was a little tired from a quick 1st mile

more speed work and go out a little slower...Rain

Rain kinda messed me up....was doing everything a lot slower. strapped into shoes real slow...had to do something with my glasses bc they were fogging up bad....then it took me forever to clip into petals.

Went out at a pretty good speed. Was a little cautious with the rain. Especially with the turns. about half way through the course stong headwind got me pretty hard. Rain sucked on the bike.

struggled in T2 too. My shoes were messed up from taking them off wet after the 1st run. The insoles were half way popped out of shoes. Had to take time to adjust. Ran out pretty hard

Ran out pretty hard. only about 2-3 people passed me. 2nd run got me. Felt real slow and not as fit as i use to be. 1st mile 7:30, 2nd 8:00. Guy who got 1st in my age group just passed me with .25 miles to go. Hills wore me out a bit too.
What would you do differently?:

Run more.
