Pre-race routine:

Ummm, thinking it was oatmeal and a bagel. Arrived at the race plenty early to get my numbers, stretch, say hi to a few people, and visit the little boys room before the race

I managed to do just about everything wrong for this run. For some reason I decided a long sleeve shirt was needed. Well wouldnt you know it, I was hot about half way thru.

About half way thru the park (MM 9ish) an older gentleman had fallen and I stopped to help. The gentleman had fallen and injured his head.

It was difficult to get going again, and my feet started to bother me. I would late find out I had numerous blisters and even a blood blister.
What would you do differently?:

dressed more appropriately.

Warm down:

Limped back to the truck. No bananas, no bagels, no yogurt, no NOTHING. Just some piss warm water.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Overheated and the 4 week taper.

Event comments:

I was very disappointed in the fact that I trudged my way through my first Half Marathon, and there was no nourishment at the finish line. What did my entrance fee go towards? Sure I was BOP, but come on lets makes sure there is at least a banana to shew on.
