Got to the race way too early...set up my transition area, stretched, stretched some more, waited, stretched. Like I said got there way too early.

Reef everywhere! On the way back we swam head-on with the women, that was confusing...Not too bad for me considering all my training for the swim has been in a pool.
What would you do differently?:

Get much more comfortable swimming in the ocean.

Get shoes that I don't need socks to ride/run with. Forget about the shirt, just go...

Slow at first, then settled into a rhythm, granted I have a slow rhythm, but I got there. Decent time for me. I practice paces were all around 9:30, so it was an improvement.
What would you do differently?:

Get a faster pace to settle into. Sprint it out towards the finish line allot earlier then I did this time.

I think that this was a great race for me as a beginner, first time triathlete. I had a lot of fun doing it. I have only been into running, swimming, and biking the last 3 months. I made a lifestyle change that I should have a long time ago.
