Swim
Comments: I was really nervous about the swim. I wasn't confident of even finishing it. Once I was in the water it was fine. I had some problems seeing where I was going but generally just tried to follow someone near me. Transition 1
Comments: I thought I was quite slow through transition but compared to everyone else it seems ok. Was a bit wobble after the swim. Bike
Comments: My legs were getting a little tired towards the end. Need some cycling endurence. Transition 2
What would you do differently?: Nothing seemed to be ok. Run
Comments: This hurt a lot!! The crowd and fellow competitors kept me going. My legs had no strength left. My breathing and HR seemed fine and I felt like I have energy left I just couldn't use it. I done running before entering the tri so I'm a little disappointed to do so badly in it. What would you do differently?: Save my legs on the bike Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Not having leg strength left for the run. Event comments: My 1st race and I loved it. Shame about not doing so well on the run but the overall time is mouch better than I hoped for so I not too worried about it. Ate some pasta about an hour before hand and watched the start of the elite races
After realising there was a big queue for transition, which was closed during the elite race, ended up running to start.
