Post race
Event comments: Well the swim kinda sucked, but it always does. The biking sucked cause I lost my chain literally 8 times. I need a couple new wires cause I can get the bike into its highest or lowest gears. And than I got lost on the run course. So not only did I have to dismount my bike a number of times, but from the end of T2 to 50 yards into the run I had already lost 7 minutes and at least 12 places. All of this crap happening definitly limited my ability to perform well and helped with such a horrible placing. I could have easily finished top 15. Anddd, the race was not well run. We stood on the start line for about 20/25 mins hearing about how hard the course was and how many ways we could get disqualified while in the meantime I was becoming extremely tight and had to pee. After the race, the post race award ceremony was really beat and the only food that they had for us were some sliced up bananas and oranges. Really beat for a 4 hour drive and a $90 hotel room. I am probably not going here next year. Anddd, the dude that I knew was going to be really good...he got 3rd, I couldn't have touched him. Good news though, I did about 4.1 miles or so for the run and completed it in under 30 mins. So I had a dec. time going for such a rocky course where you couldn't make a full stride (I wasn't even breathing hard!). Oh well, I am pretty disappointed, but what can yah do. Everyone had their poor races. Last updated: 2005-08-09 12:00 AM
