Pre-race routine:

breakfast power bar, banana and gatorade. drove to race an hour and a half. registered and set up my transition by 6:30.

Good swim the cater was cool but felt warm compared to the air temp. The waves were well distributed and did not have to swim over peple.

loosen up more the prior day

Good course fun to try to negative split the corse.
What would you do differently?:

did not take it out hard enough on the first set of down hills lost some potential speed. Not in good enough shap to power up the inclines.

Comming off of a ITBS injury so I only have loged about 40 miles in the last 6 weeks and was concerned about my leg starting to hurt so i went steady not hard.
What would you do differently?:

Be able to train going into the race.

Good early seasson race with a good amount of competition.

Course: nice two loop course seems to be mainly going down can pick up some good speed but second half as some long up hilll grades and flats. Only one area where the road was rough.
