Run
Comments: Started at a perfect pace. Watched Makalah start to strong. She was ahead of me for a few blocks. Kept an eye on Jeremy, but realized I didn't even have a chance with him. Passed Makalah and settled into a nice groove running alongside Dillon. At the turnaround point, I picked up more intensity and passed Dillon as a result. Wanted to pass two girls that I beat in Odell, but they picked up pace also. Didn't get the job done, but had a very good run. Was very surprised I came under 24 minutes. What would you do differently?: On the surface, follow my night before routine. However, this was a very good run. Maybe I might change my routine. :) Post race
Warm down: Water. Mostly hung out with Dina, but talked with some friends also. What limited your ability to perform faster: Honestly, I couldn't ask for a better run. I might throw a 5K or two in a season for a confidence booster. Event comments: I did enjoy this race. It was nice to run with friends and others from the church. It was nice to have Jeff, Clayton, and myself get 1,2,3 for our age group. Also, I'm realizing that Makalah is getting to be a good runner. Last updated: 2009-06-02 12:00 AM

My routine was thrown out of whack last night. Didn't have Gatorade or pasta, but did eat Mexican and had two beers. In the morning, I ate my staple (GV Bran Flakes)and drank 20 ounces of Gatorade.
Stretched, then Makalah and I ran to the end of the block and back. Also hung out with friends others I know.
