Swim
Comments: good swim, kept it easy, very little kick, most participants wore wetsuits even though it seemed to warm for it to be legal What would you do differently?: not much Transition 1
Comments: guess on transition time, chip timing malfunction What would you do differently?: I put Garmin on but somehow it didn't turn on correctly Bike
Comments: don't know rank due to race timing chip malfunction that affected the entire field, disappointing, also there was some traffic on the course, got caught behind a couple of cars and a dump truck What would you do differently?: not much, appropriate, comfortable pace Transition 2
Comments: guess on transition time, had trouble resetting Garmin device so it just kept running, run time is an estimate What would you do differently?: doubleknot shoes Run
Comments: ranks unknown, this was the best Olympic run I've had, probably due to the cool weather and flat course What would you do differently?: not much, kept it easy between 7:30-8:00 minute miles Post race
Warm down: walked around, drank fluids What limited your ability to perform faster: fatigue during run, not sure how much faster I can do during the run, swim feels easy and bike feels comfortable Event comments: Small field, not a great lake, bike is flat but with traffic, a portion of the road is bumpy, run also flat, not USAT registered, not enough porta-potties or space for bikes in the transition area, but overall a good race Last updated: 2009-06-04 12:00 AM

up at 4:45, had banana, coffee, peanut butter toast, drove 1 hour to the race, arrived a little late, there were no spaces left in transition to put my bike so I had to lean it against one of the sides, also, only one portapotty, which was disgusting
swam about 50 yards easy, ate 2 powerbars and drank a gatorade
