What would you do differently?: Wait longer before enetering water. WOrk towards the outside of the course- away from the crowd. ![]() Transition 1
Comments: T1 felt great. It was a 400 M run from the shore to the transition area but I think overall I was passing people. Managed to run through puddles and get sand off feet. Putting on the gloves took longer than I wanted. What would you do differently?: practice puttin on gloves faster. ![]() Bike
Comments: Bike COurse was routine. HR from swim and T1 was a bit high so I focused on lowering it to be ready for the run. Large chain ring did not work AGAIN!!! Where is Mauricio? What would you do differently?: Work on getting gears workin better. ![]() Transition 2
Comments: I think for the second race my transitions were excellent. Running especially. Again my gloves were difficult to remove. My Livestrong band came off. I think I was out in less than a minute. My foot Pod was NOT working. What would you do differently?: Test foot pod operation to integrate with the timer watch while watch has been keeping time of swim and bike. ![]() Run
Comments: I did manage to push as hard as I could and pass people. I did not get distracted with slowing down. What would you do differently?: I must get a better feel for the course prior to competeing in it. I think I may have been able to push harder if I had a better feel for the distance remaining. I must get my POLAR to work better. ![]() Post race
Warm down: Beer and Fruit. Drank 2 beers for the first time in 1 year!!! What limited your ability to perform faster: Yesterdays training. I may have over did it yesterday. Event comments: Overall the planning was excellent!! The timing company had a problem with the scoring and all contestants had to leave without knowing who won. I still don't know what my intervals were at the time i'm inputing this. I hope to have the scores by days end. My wrist polar shows the following: Total: 1:15.43 HR 174/190 1159 cal S: 13:22.9 (incl T1) B: 30:46.7 T2: 1:15 R: 29:11 4:59 pm- Times were uploaded to the Tri Miami site with no interval timing. My official total time is now listed. Hoping to get interval timing later. OK!!! Thanks to the good people at Buttar.com, the official resuls came in this afternoon. Thanks for getting us the scores! Congratulations to my 2 buddies on their scores also: They rock for letting me train with them! F.Collada S-9:11-- T1-0:53-- B-26:28-- T2-:55-- R-22:19-- TTL-00:59:48 W.
