Pre-race routine:

GO up, had a coffee, made breakfast, and packed the car. Drove to the site from London, getting a bit lost on the way [out of London]. Had breakfast in the car. Sipped Gatorade all the way.

Quite happy with my first open water swim of the season. Stayed in control, and found that I was swimming quite nicely. Caught some feet, then they went off course so I stuck with my sighting/navigation.

Need to work on Transitions, especially getting out of the suit (heels). If I can get a minute lower that is a lot of time.

Better transition. A competitor put his bike in my spot so had to find a new spot for my bike. Got out relatively quick, and up to speed.

The last hill got my legs so I had to walk for about 20 seconds. Worked out well as I was able to get back into stride quickly. Happy with how my legs feel coming off the bike. Need to start a bit lower, and build the last 3 km.

Multisport does a great job with the races. They have a prerace meeting which is very smart.
I really like the grass roots feel of these events. The competition is good, but it is not about money. It is about triathlon.
