Swim
Comments: A good swim, I started wide & rounded all the bouys well. Transition 1
Comments: Not a great transition, no issues just a litle winded & walked the last few yards to the bike. Bike
Comments: The new ride is fast! I probably hammered the hills a bit too much & it affected the run. Real pleased with this bike leg, the fastest pace as I can tell was about 23 mph because of the hills. Transition 2
Comments: Winded getting off the bike not to mention the heat doing its thing. Run
Comments: Well - I guess we can see were my problem is...running. The run was tough & slow, even for me. I battled sinus problems Thursday & Friday...Friday felt like someone clubbed me in the head. I had to walk a couple of times to regain some composure. Post race
Warm down: Cheered on Kendall down the fininshing chute, ate & drank free stuff. What limited your ability to perform faster: I didn't fell well Thurs & Fri, especially Friday. I had planned on driving down Friday night to do training ride Sat but cancelled & went to bed early. So, in light of the health issues, I am pleased with the race that I entered more as a training exercise. I haven't raced as much as I would have liked to to date this year so I hoping to get a couple more sprints in along with an OLY in 2 weeks. The BIG RACE is Oct 22, the 1/2 IM! Event comments: I've done 4 of these Sommer Sports Sprints in Clermont & all have been well run, organized & well staffed. Last updated: 2005-08-14 12:00 AM
