Pre-race routine:

Out of bed at 5:30. Had the usual breakfast of a banana and cheerios. All the gear was already loaded in the car. Double checked the tire pressure on the bike and checked to see if I had forgotten anything. Headed out around 6:30.
Event warmup:

Set up in the transition area. Walked to both ends to check out the out/in for the bike and run. Got body marked then went down to swin a little befrore the start.

I had heard the water was pretty murky, but I didn't think it was that bad except at the start and finish.
