Pre-race routine:

Up early for the hour and a half drive to Lompoc. Beautiful morning. Had a bagel and some Ensure Wild Berry for breakfast and a cup of french vanilla coffee for the drive. Got there very early so check in was quick. Transition was marked so I had a spot for my bike.

This is a fun venue. From the volunteers, to the staff, cops, contestants, everyone was very pleasant and encouraging.
