Pre-race routine:

Bridal shower for my fiance Saturday, then the neighbors were partying and kept us up till 3:00 am...just in time to wake up at 4:00 AM. Pretty much wrote the race off then, which dropped any pressure to perform I had.
Event warmup:

Focused on getting everything set at transition since the last race I had my water bottle on wrong and my shoes velcroed in.

Swim felt good. I was dissapointed with the time, but comparing others times with last year and this year, I was right where I wanted to be.

OK bike...didn't hydrate enough before the race, so I was sucking down water right away. Knee problems started acting up on the second lap, so I had to relax. Calf, hamstring and hip started cramping.

What would you do differently?:

Was ready to bail on the run at the start. Knee pain was horrible and started giving out at the first mile. I had to hobble and stop to adjust the brace a few times...hills were a pain. Right when I saw Chandler with .5 miles to go, my knee got it's act together and allowed me to finish strong.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Knee issues that killed me in Florida. Taking a month or so off and working with my doctor to figure it out.
